Dear Lindsay,

You've captured the hearts of many and placed something precious inside: our undying love for you. Forever it will be a part of us, guiding us to be good people, to have fun and dreams and to live life in a manner worthy of you. Together we're your creation: a web of light spanning the whole planet, making this world a good place to be in. Together, but apart. Our faith in you bridges the heartbreaking distance and makes us sure that you will only do what you want to do, that you'd be true to yourself and be happy. Which makes us happy even though we can't be with you.

Lindsay, thanks for being so special.

Writing to her

On the official webpage a form is available to send your questions to B*WITCHED. You can also read their answers to earlier questions. The e-mail address b-witched@b-witched.com has the same function as the form. I've been led to believe you can send your writings to Lindsay personally using the address lindsay@b-witched.com; these may follow the same path as the group e-mails.

Fanmail can of course also be sent by paper mail, c/o the record company, Sony or Epic. E.g. in the UK it is:

B*Witched
c/o Epic Records
10 Great Marlborough Street
London W1V 2LP
United Kingdom

In the US I've found this address for Sony:

Sony Music Entertainment Inc.
550 Madison Ave, 27th Fl
New York, NY 10022-3211
United States

I've read somewhere that they like to receive handwritten letters. Generally they are too busy to to write back however.

By me

Valentine 2000

This year's Valentine I felt really bold and actually sent her a card... I hope she didn't mind. The message was only short, but I really mean it:

  "Lindsay,
The hopes of your heart make who you are,
A beauty that can be seen from afar
   The glow of your happiness,
   Is the world's eternal bliss
If to your heart you stay true,
I feel right about loving you"

Valentine 1999

One day, on the eve of Valentine, I had the unstoppable urge to write my feelings down. I didn't dare to send it to her as a Valentines Card, but I was just about brave enough to make it shortly visible in the official site's guestbook. Since we're now among fans anyway, I thought I could share it with you, see whether you recognise in this your own feelings. Valentines Day is an opportunity for people who can't write poetry even if their life depended on it, to crawl out of the woodwork and do it anyway; and so did I. It's probably because their hearts depend on it. Yes, I know I'm not any good.

Bad news: Lindsay has disappeared! It happened right at the moment she opened the door to the postmen that brought her her Valentine's Day cards. After they had emptied all those postbags, Lindsay was gone, but a mountain of cards, just somewhat larger than Lindsay herself, had appeared near the front door. Sinead, Keavy and Edele had a short moment of panic, but then they quickly decided Lindsay needed rescuing from under that card mountain. They started working their way through the cards, pushing aside hands full of admirers at a time. When they found Lindsay back, a loving group hug was the result. One of the cards still stuck out of Lindsay's hair. Keavy took it out and read it aloud:

  "The inside of my eyelids,
   Show fantasies with you
   And with my eyes open,
   You're everywhere too:
On tv, video and in magazines,
On CD covers, walls and computer screens.
   You see, Lindsay, to me
You're the centre of the universe,
   All that's important is you,
   The roses are dead,
   The violets are through,
All the beauty in the world,
   Now comes from you."

'Thank you Keavy! Hey, here's another card that got into my pocket:'

  "Message from the future:
Lindsay, ever since we got together you've been
complaining that I had never sent you a Valentine
card. So, I got in a time travel machine and here it
is. But now the machine's broken and I can't get
  back..."

'Yeah right. Look, there's another sticking out of your shoe.' 'Hmmm, scented paper.'

  "There's this gorgeous woman Lindsay:
Lovely voice, beautiful face, magic eyes
Always looking great in the clothes she designs and buys
Beautiful both with curly and with straight hair
I'd mention her figure if only I'd dare...

But when I look at her I see:
A woman as independent and lovely as a cat,
Who's together, intelligent and knows where it's at,
Who likes to love, laugh and have fun,
Who dares to dream and gets it done.

I know that this perfect woman I see on tv,
Is only my idealised image of Lindsay,
So how come each time I learn more about you,
This idealised image appears to be true?"

All these cards on the pile together form one important message to Lindsay, the most bewitching B*witched, from all her fans:

"We absolutely and totally love you!"

P.S. And of course the postmen came round three times more. We don't want to leave out anyone...
